The Conference

HOME

The extremely successful ICNDST series of diamond conferences has a reputation for presenting some of the best diamond work in the world in a friendly and collegiate atmosphere. The conference has roamed around the world and now I am delighted to be able to invite you to participate in ICNDST-8 to be held in Melbourne Australia in July 2002. The conference will cover all aspects of diamond science and technology including growth and processing, characterization, and electronic, optical, mechanical and thermal applications. New topics include sessions devoted to nanodiamond, methods of detection of HPHT diamond in the gemmology industry, and the use of diamond in quantum computing and quantum communications. Contributions on related materials such as carbon nanotubes and diamond-like and amorphous carbons and competitors to diamond such as BN, wide band gap nitrides and SiC are also most welcome. Feel free to be adventurous and exploratory in your contributions!

We look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne and Australia and in addition to a stimulating scientific program, showing you some traditional Aussie hospitality.
