60 years ago this August, the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed by the US military using the worlds first nuclear weapons.
Today, there are still 30,000 nuclear weapons in the hands of just eight nations.
MAPW will hold a National Conference to commemorate the anniversaries of these bombings and to examine the way forward for a nuclear free world.
