BUDGET ACCOMMODATION St Mary's College The University of Melbourne Student Residential Accommodation $58 per night bed & Breakfast To be paid in advance - see Registration form Welcome to St Mary's College, a residential College affiliated with the University of Melbourne. Situated in beautiful grounds on Swanston Street, the College is one kilometre from the city centre and a short distance to the restaurant area of Carlton. During the academic year, the College is home to students at the University of Melbourne and RMIT. Accommodation: Guests are accommodated in single bedrooms which are carpeted, heated in winter and contain a wash basin. The communal bathrooms are designated Male and Female. Linen and towels are provided. Laundry and ironing facilities are provided; washing machines take a $1 coin and dryers operate at $1 per cycle. Facilities: There is a Common Room which is available for guests in which to relax. Tea and coffee making facilities are available and a snack machine is nearby. Arrangements can be made at the Front Desk for guests to access the University Sports facilities. The Common Room is located on the ground floor of the Administration building. Keys: Guests are issued with a room key and front door disc which also gives access to the back door via the car park. A charge of $25 is applicable for loss of these keys. Telephones: A public telephone is located under the stairwell, outside the Library. Security: It is important that guests respect the security of the College. It is requested that bedrooms be kept locked at all times. During the night hours the night security officer is contactable and after his departure an after hours number is advised on the notice board in the foyer should an emergency arise. Transport: The College is well served by trams to the city. The terminus is located on Swanston Street opposite the university.
