Presentations
must be based on original work that has not been published prior to
the meeting. Abstracts must contain sufficient information to convey
the main theme, objectives, results and conclusions of the work. Abstracts
will be evaluated on the relevance of the subject to the symposium
aims, quality of writing and adherence to required guidelines.
Submitted
abstracts will be supplied to those attending the symposium. However,
formal symposium proceedings will not be prepared. Instead, a synthesis
report will be compiled to summarise the main points that emerged
from the symposium. Also, a selection of papers that provide new insights
into the nature or management of urbanization impacts on stream ecology
will be invited for publication in a peer-reviewed journal (journal
to be advised). Please indicate if you wish your paper to be considered
for inclusion in the collection of full papers to be submitted for
publication.
All abstracts
must be received by 1 July 2003. Acceptance of abstracts will be notified
by 1 September 2003. Authors of abstracts invited to prepare a manuscript
for inclusion in the conference special issue will also be notified
by 1 September 2003, and manuscripts must be received by 30 November
2003.
